Creation Mythos (Cosmogony)

The world was created by Pamulak Manobo, who made the land and sea and the first humans. Rain comes when he throws water from the sky; showers are his spit. White clouds are smoke from the deities' fire. The sun created yellow clouds that make the colors of the rainbow.

  Supreme deity and creator of the world; controls good harvest, rain, wind, life, and death.

• Mebuyan (Immortal)

  The underworld goddess who governs the place reserved for children who died at their mother's breast; she introduced the concept of death.

• Mandarangan (Immortal)

  Spirit of the sky and heat; patron god of warriors who resides at Mount Apo's summit.
